Over break, while we were in Colorado Springs, I found out about this club in Colorado Springs called the AdAmAn club. It's such a cool concept. Every year they select a new member from a pool of applicants, and that's how the club grows/maintains it's size. They do mountaineering type things including a summit of Pikes Peak every New Year's to light off fireworks at the top of the peak at midnight. We saw them on their way up Barr Trail, as we were coming down off The Incline. It was pretty cool. Read up on them by clicking on the link above, it's really interesting! They had to deal with crazy high winds (100 mph+) and insanely cold temps on top (-33 windchill!) Facebook
