Making it ours

We haven't done a whole lot on the house, especially since it's a rental and we aren't sure how long we'll be here and all.  But I got a little bit of the nesting bug and decided I needed to start making the house more ours.  So I painted a wall and a door, bout a few small furniture pieces, and changed out the curtains in the front entryway and the dining room.

I was fairly brave and did my decorating and painting while Nick was out of town.  The kids were great!

Almost 27 weeks

We haven't done the best job of documenting this pregnancy, so we'll have to take what we can get :)  Nick took this fairly unflattering picture of me today, but it does show the baby, so I'll share.
I'll be 27 weeks along on Wednesday!

Not a cheap date

Yesterday morning, Cayle and I had our (mostly) weekly date of breakfast at Niemerg's and grocery shopping. Nick was egging Cayle on about all he could get for breakfast...and Cayle bit. Once he gets something stuck in his head, he runs with it. So, Cayle was a fairly expensive date Saturday morning. Consider I ate toast, hash browns, and coffee. The boy ate the rest!

What's happening?

Not sure what's happening with my blogging the last few months. Lately it's only been Natalie who has been writing, where as before it was almost always me. As always, I have plenty to talk about and plenty to say, just not quite sure why blogging has taken a hit? Slacking...

The big date...

has been set. I had my 26-week appointment today and accomplished lots: glucose test, regular check-up, scheduled date and drs for c-section, scheduled all remaining dr appointments, and toured the women and children's facilities. Whew! I'm now on the every 2-week schedule (what, already???) to see the dr. And we're officially on the calendar for Baby #3 to be born...Thursday, June 26 with surgery set to start at 730 am. Things just got real :) I should start taking some belly shots! But not tonight...

It's over...

Fingers crossed, we have hopefully seen the end of "paci."  Lindy has been reliant on this bad boy for her naps, nighttime sleep, and other random super-cranky moments. But today, Nick found poor paci had been beheaded. And Lindy didn't request paci at her afternoon nap or to go to bed tonight. RIP paci, thank you for your services 😇

I was a math teacher...

I gotta teach him while I can, it won't be too long with this one until he's much better at math than me...

More snow...

Worked on the puzzle a bit more Sunday night. In front of the fire. During another winter storm. No school again on Monday. That's now 9 snow days. Not sure we will ever get to how camping again? Or wear short sleeves (without freezing...)? But working on the puzzle brings back very fond memories :)

Dr. Seuss

Took Cayle to the library on Monday afternoon to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday. He played a game (throw the poms in Dr. Seuss' hat), made a craft (a Thing 2), and made a snack (someone from The Lorax). The snack was cute and quickly demolished. We also picked out a Dr. Seuss book and movie for home. "Oh say can you say?" Is the book and mommy has difficulty getting through all the tongue twisters...

Goofing off with Grandma

Starting Seeds

First time since I began gardening a few years ago that I've started seeds indoors. Trying to get a jump on the season. Much longer gardening season here than Colorado, so hope we get good yields!

Started tomatoes, peppers, and a bunch of herbs.
