Got out today for a little snowshoe workout with the kids. Uphill+deep snow = a great workout!
We shared the trail only with fox or coyote tracks! So beautiful!!!
Can't think of too many more beautiful places to be buried! Just over the ridge looks over Gypsum Creek road and the valley.
Lots of fresh snow!
This place looks like a picture in a magazine!
Subie was great in the deep snow!
Cayle enjoyed snowshoeing!
I placed an order with Hammer Nutrition for electrolyte tablets that I put in my water while riding to help prevent cramping on Monday. I used these "Fizz" tablets last year and loved them! They dissolve in your water and are mighty tasty. On hard rides over two hours I would always experience cramping at some point, not sure why exactly, but I always attributed it to my extremely low sodium diet. The Fizz and the Endurolyte tablets have taken care of all my cramping issues! Last year I ordered from REI since we are members there and then get money back on purchases. This year I decided to order from the Hammer online store since they had two flavors, unflavored and peach on sale for about 2.50 for 13ct tubes. Me being the cheapie that I am, I elected to just buy these instead of the lemon-lime and grapefruit which are my favorites. I ordered 5 peach flavored Fizz tubes and 3 unflavored tubes. Shipping was right at 4 bucks, so my total order with tax came in at about 25 bucks. I requested a couple of stickers to place on my cargo box.
Again, I ordered on Monday, and received my order in Colorado today (Thursday)! Crazy quick for standard 4 dollar shipping!
This is what I ordered....
This is what I received!!! My original Fizz tubes plus an extra 2 promotional tubes, 3 gel samples, 5 individual serving drink mixes, 2 bars, their endurance magazine, a product usage guide, 2 sticker packs, and a letter welcoming me to the "family"! Thanks Hammer! You've created a loyal customer!!!
Yesterday when we got home from Breck it was 50 and sunny and I was thinking it was finally warming up a bit and time to start getting some good bike rides. Well... We went from 50 and sunny to snow in the forecast for 4 days in a row...
But then it looks like it will be good bike riding weather! Plus there will actually be snow on the mountain for skiing and snowboarding, guess its a win win.
When you take 4 runs and you practice your pizza and French fries you are bound to be tired...
After watching some more skiing from the X games, and a bit of iPad time, he appears to be wiped out!!!
Last weekend we went to the rodeo and stock show in Denver. Clearly the rodeo left a lasting impression on Cayle....
Once in a while when its just the kids and I we get out for breakfast at Yeti's Grind. I love it, Cayle loves it and Lindy loves it. It's a win win! Just a nice relaxing way to start the day. Plus they have awesome oatmeal for me and Cayles latest favorite has been cinnamon rolls. Lindy likes the white chocolate raspberry scones!
He skips a few letters here and there, but he's getting close. In the first part he usually goes a,b,c,d,f,g and then the rest is what you hear.
