Did this ride a couple years ago about this time of year and it was amazing. Decided to take Dad out for the ride. When we left Vail pass at 8 in the morning it was 25 degrees and sunny! Yikes! Didn't feel that cold though. From Vail pass you climb about a mile and a half on a dirt road. Then another 4.5 miles on steep singletrack (Bowmans Shortcut.) Then about 12 miles of downhill through the back bowls of Vail out into Minturn to the 2nd car for a drive back up to the top of Vail Pass.

Nick: You and your dad, Frank, should talk with either Kyle or Ryan McCall about biking! I forget which one is the big biker.
