Hunting for Crawlers with Grandpa!

Most times I stayed at my grandma and grandpa Pruemer's house, grandpa would take me fishing for mud cats in the pond behind the pig barn. We'd always have to find worms before we went. Typically under straw bales, rocks, or just dig a hole. Sometimes we'd get lucky and it would rain the night before and he'd take me out with a flashlight to hunt for night crawlers! You had to be quick, but as a young kid it was so much fun. Grandpa Bernie was a good teacher, but he had little patience for missing night crawlers due to not being aggressive enough. I remember this every time it rains at night. Just one of the many great memories I had with Grandpa.

Bike/walk/bike/walk

I rode to and from the gym this morning ~2 miles. Lindy rode to music and back while I walked with Kyler, ~.7 miles each way. I rode 14 miles with the girls in the Chariot. Then Lindy rode to get Cayle from school, while I walked with Kyler, ~1 mile each way. Love being active!

Wow!

Happy 2016! 2015 was our worst year of blogging yet. Hopefully 2016 will be much better! There were so many fun memories we missed out on blogging about. I'm going to miss going back and reminiscing about them. Not sure what the deal was, but just never happened like I wanted it to. :-(

Kindergarten

Blogging has been very difficult this year for whatever reason! It's a struggle to find motivation to take the time to write. But I know I will be upset with myself in the future if this doesn't get posted!

My how time flies! Today is the 1st day in the last 5 years that Cayle won't be staying home with me when school starts. We are super going to miss having him around, but I'm so excited for him to start Kindergarten. He's going to have so much fun!

Le Tour de Effingham County

I've been thinking for a few months now how cool it would be to do a big ride and hit every town in Effingham County, IL. I did it this morning for a total of 104 miles.  It was pretty neat! Tried to get a picture of a water tower or other town landmark in each town.

(Just a cool train bridge)

Painting

My wife is painting... It's never simple, but always ends up looking amazing!
