Just Riding Around

Saw something really cool today while on my bike ride with the girls. I waited for about 15 minutes to get some video, but the groundhog wasn't biting. He's up on the side of the cliff. Just right of center in the top pic, next to the small tree. He's just sticking his head out of his hole. I'm guessing he just started digging up top somewhere and ended up digging out the side of the cliff. Now he's got himself a room with a view!

Before leaving the Simons this morning, the kids got to check out their water balloons that had been left out overnight. Big hit!

Good bye's are never fun, but at least with kids they can be very cute!

Rusty had a cancerous lesion on his toe, so he had a toe removed. 15 days of wearing this collar... :-(

We went bowling for Cayle's date. He loves it. Mommy almost pulled off the surprise victory in game 1... A few timely strikes for daddy sealed the deal. In game 2 my old college bowling skills began to return. Way too many open frames though! Unacceptable. :-)

Weather has been crazy! Closer to 70 most days. Trees are beginning to bloom! Guess winter is over???...

Bashed Knee

Last Sunday I bashed my knee playing whiffle all with the kids. Being too competitive... Today I rode the trainer for the first time. Felt pretty ok. Happy that nothing major seems wrong with it!

Presidents Day

And near 70 degrees makes for a great day to visit Ballard Nature Center with the Hiatts. Our kids play so well together!

Baking Day

Been using a new recipe. I like it and it's been turning out some high quality loaves! I hand kneaded today instead of the mixer. Helpful when making a double batch. The artisan loaf was to have with the minestrone I made for dinner. As always, so delicious!
